Celluloid Penelope Purse
This frame depicts Penelope pretending to be weaving a burial shroud for Odysseus' elderly father Laertes. Penelope said that she would choose a suitor when she has finished. Every night for three years, she undid part of the shroud. It was all a stalling tactic as she tried to hold off suitors for her hand and wait for Odysseus (her husband) to return from the Trojan war.
