French Carved Celluloid Purse
Description
Ca. late 1920's French carved celluloid purse set against brown velvet. The scene is done in black outline, featuring an 18th century couple and a landscape scene with a statue, trees and a folly (building). The back of the purse is brown leather with an attached wrist strap. This purse was used for evening wear and would have been expensive when made.
