One of the Star Series purses.  In 1976, the Whiting & Davis Co. produced a series of purses called The Heritage Collection. The collection was made to celebrate their anniversary. This purse is of the actress Marion Davies.  She was one of a handful of stars that were featured in a Heritage Collection series called The Star Series. The other celebrities featured were: Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin and Renee Adoree. These purses are highly collectable because of their rarity. The owners of this purse consider themselves lucky to have purchased this for a great price: the seller did a poor job on the listing, and would only ship to Australia (where they live).
