Three Maria Monaci Gallenga Purses

Three Maria Monaci Gallenga purses. Two made with braided drawstrings and Murano glass Pate de Verre beads and tassels. All were made with a block printing technique with metallic pigments.  Rare

The Maria Monaci Gallenga Purse mounted on a silver gilt, Dutch frame is rare. They are never seen mounted on frames. The pattern has been verified as hers, both front and back. Gallenga "spent months there" in the Netherlands in 1922 and sold many dresses and accessories. She had a presence there since 1918. It has a stamp date of "J" which is 1921-1922 in the Netherlands. Her designs were made using a block printing technique with metallic pigments.
