“V for Victory” purse

This is a "V for Victory" purse. The patch was most likely added to a pre-existing purse that happened to have a patriotic color scheme. Victory fashion became a popular way to show support for the war effort during World War 2. There was "V for Victory" pins, jewelry, posters, hats and even purses.
