WDPURSE-photo

This picture comes from APCS member Andra Behrendt who says:

This is a great photo of my husband Craig's Aunt Pauline. She was his mother's sister. Aunt Pauline grew up on a farm in Necedah, Wisconsin. She was one of 12 children, most grew up on the farm, including Craig's mother Clara, my mother-in-law.

This photo is of Pauline, most likely taken on the farm in the 1930s. Pauline was born around 1910. What a great purse she's holding, looks like a Whiting Davis to me!

Several of the sisters left the farm and moved to the big city - Chicago, including Clara. So perhaps one of the sisters gave this to Pauline as a gift? We'll never know the story behind the purse as they're all gone now.

There are a lot of great stories about the family growing up on the farm, Clara spoke of it often. I did meet Pauline several times, we even had a family reunion at the farm in the late 1980s.
